Robot Energy Limited

  • Client: Robot Energy Limited
  • Categories: Project

In 2021, I was engaged as the External Consultant for Robot Energy Limited, an innovative Nigerian company focused on producing sustainable lubricant solutions and energy products for mass-market users. This project was not just an IT engagement it was a brand-building and product-defining partnership.

My role extended far beyond infrastructure: I led the creative design, modeling, and branding of the company’s entire lubricant product line, including the iconic 1-litre disposable engine oil pouch the first of its kind in Nigeria along with 5L and 4L lubricant kegs. I also developed the company’s logo, brand identity system, corporate website, and managed the complete IT setup, Microsoft 365 deployment, staff onboarding, and cybersecurity framework.

Product Design & Innovation

One of the most groundbreaking contributions was the industrial design of the 1L lubricant pouch  a lightweight, easy-to-use, and environmentally conscious alternative to traditional plastic bottles. This pouch was launched in 2021 and targeted users such as:

  • Motorcycle and tricycle riders

  • Generator and small-engine users

  • Fleet operators and low consumption retail buyers

In addition to the pouch, I modeled and designed:

  • 4L, 5L, and 25L lubricant kegs

  • Industrial packaging prototypes for larger-scale distribution

  • Labels with multilingual instructions, product icons, and environmental compliance information

Each product variant was developed with functionality, sustainability, and branding consistency in mind, and ready for factory molding and mass printing.

Website & Digital Presence

I developed and launched www.robotenergies.com, a professional, mobile-responsive corporate website featuring:

  • Product categories and specifications

  • Company sustainability mission and profile

  • Dealer contact form and customer inquiries

  • SEO optimization and SSL security

  • Google Maps integration and Analytics tracking

Microsoft 365 & IT Infrastructure

I provisioned and deployed Microsoft 365 for the entire team, including:

  • Exchange Online for company email (with branded signatures)

  • Teams and OneDrive for internal collaboration

  • SharePoint Online for document control

  • MFA enforcement and compliance configurations

Additionally, I led the design and setup of a mini on-premises data centre with:

  • Rack servers, managed switches, UPS backup

  • LAN cabling and device policy configuration

  • Integration between local storage and cloud services

Impact & Legacy

  • Launched Nigeria’s first 1L engine oil pouch, merging product innovation with sustainability

  • Elevated Robot Energy from a concept-stage startup to a fully branded, tech-enabled, and digitally mature company

  • Built an infrastructure ready to support national expansion, retail distribution, and investor readiness

  • Empowered internal teams with tools, training, and systems to operate at scale
